About Cynthia:

Cynthia holds certifications in Orton-Gillingham-Certified Level, Read Naturally - Train the Trainer, Flexible Mindsets in Schools, Lindamood Bell, WVCED-William Van Cleave, Writing Matters, SMARTS Training - Research Institute for Learning & Development, Wilson Language Training, and Orthographic Studies - Structured Word Inquiry. She has been a tutor for the Reading Clinic of Bermuda since 2003, implementing the Orton-Gillingham Approach for children who have dyslexia. Her expertise includes interpreting neuropsychological and educational reports, carrying out relevant assessments to collect further data, and implementing, and adjusting Orton-Gillingham lessons that target student progress.

 Cynthia set up a new resource library for the Reading Clinic, solicited funds to include appropriate resources, which included over 8,000 books and software programs and organized volunteers to complete this project. She facilitated dyslexia workshops, was a tutor representative on the board, and organized fundraising events for the Reading Clinic.
